Happy Birthday Taylor!

I had a photo session yesterday with the most adorable eight-year-old! I first met Taylor when she was about four years old and even four years ago, she was every bit the beautiful and friendly young lady that she is today. So I was over the moon when her mother asked me to take pictures of her for her eighth birthday. And not only did I have a great time taking her picture, I also learned a lot about life as an eight-year-old (AND about Justin Bieber!). So thank you to the “S” family for letting me visit yesterday. And Happy 8th Birthday Taylor! I hope your birthday is the best one ever!!!!

And you know I had to snap a picture of her little brothers during one of our breaks. They are all just so darn cute!

The Red Barn (another one of “my favorite things”)

There is just something so peaceful about a beautiful, red barn, sitting quietly among rolling hills. I had a photo session a couple of weeks ago in Lancaster County. It is always like a breath of fresh air going to Lancaster County so I really enjoyed this particular session. And there in the distance sat this breathtaking barn, sitting so majestically in the rolling fields of green. I have loved red barns for as long as I can remember. I had two very good friends in grammar school who lived on farms, and I spent many a day visiting them and playing in and around the red barns that served as the focal point of those beautiful farms. So I don’t know whether it is the feeling of days gone by, or the fact that I associate them with the equestrian world (which I also adore!). Or maybe it is the way in which most red barns sit with such confidence and seem to tell their own story of life while adding a glowing splash of red to the scenery. Whatever the reason, I just love them so! So you know I just had to snap a picture of this magnificent and charming beauty once my session was over and share it with you. It is another one of “my favorite things”!

“B” is for Beckett, and beautiful, and baby, and boy.

Welcome Baby Beckett!!! One week ago today in fact, this beautiful baby boy came into the world. Let’s just call him prince charming for now, because he was the perfect little prince this afternoon while I photographed him. We were inside and out, he was up and down, covered and uncovered… and he never blinked an eye. I think he was probably in dreamland, dreaming about the wonderful life that is ahead of him. I promised his mommy and daddy a sneak peek, and since it’s almost midnight and I am supposed to be in bed waiting for the Easter bunny to arrive at our house, I better go ahead and post these pictures. So here you go Mommy and Daddy! Congratulations again on an absolutely beautiful baby boy! And thank you for letting me visit today!

Christine – these pics of the newborn babies are gorgeous! It makes me want to have another so you can take infant pics of him or her…Ahh…well almost! You are truly gifted!!!

Spring is in the air, and Baby L is here!

Today was such a wonderful day! Not only because the sun was shining brilliantly in the sky, or because the weather was warm, or because it is only 2 days before Easter. It was a wonderful day because I finally had the opportunity to meet baby Lauren! This little beauty came into the world only 8 days ago, and at such an early age, she is already quite the little charmer. I was so taken by her – so sweet and so teeny tiny, she slept with a little smile on her face, as if to say, “I’m here now… and life is good!” Well, today was certainly good, and I owe it all to this magnificent little peanut!

Happy 4th Birthday, My Sweet Sunshine!

This day, four years ago, my husband and I were blessed with our precious baby girl, Catherine Grace. When I look back to that day, I remember it like it was yesterday – that feeling of overwhelming joy! Our beautiful Catie, so full of energy and spunk yet so sweet and loving, turns four years old today! She is our entertainer for sure – readily willing to sing (in its entirety) “Delta Dawn” or “On the Way to Cape May” or “You Are My Sunshing” or “Wild Thing” or any other song she has grown to love. She LOVES to sing! And she loves to dance too. Although, I frequently compare her dancing talent to that of Mary Catherine Gallagher. But she loves it and it makes her happy. And that’s what matters. And to top it all off, and make a great day even more special, Denise from Matilda Jane Clothing posted Catie’s picture on her blog today. What a great birthday surprise! I am so honored!!! And when I tuck her in at night, and listen silently as she says her bedtime prayers, I can’t help but get a tear in my eye as my heart overflows with thankfulness for this little beauty. We are so very proud of her, our tiny baby that has grown into such an amazing and adorable little girl.
